Venugopal Reddy

Dr. Venugopal S. Reddy is an Associate professor of Anaesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Critical Care at Penn State College of Medicine and Hershey Medical Center, Penn State University, Pennsylvania, USA.

He completed 4 year term as the director of surgical ICU and at present he is the director of Morbidity Mortality committee in the same department.

Dr. Reddy has received honorary FCARCSI from Royal College of anaesthesia, Ireland, for his contribution in developing primary FCARCSI course and examination in the Middle East and Honorary professor from University of Jakarta, Indonesia for his continued support in the development of critical care medicine and teaching for residents. For six years, he has served as an examiner for the Royal College of anesthetists, Ireland, for the primary FCARCSI examination. He is also an examiner for the Maintenance of Certification of Anesthesia (MOCA), ACLS, and BLS training. He served as a senate member for Penn state University for three years.

Dr. Reddy in the past has worked in many Asian countries and has thorough understating of the regional requirement of medicine. He travels extensively to Asian and Eastern European countries to conduct workshop on mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring and acid-base disorder.

Dr. Reddy has won several awards as the best teacher for his teaching prowess and for his contribution to respiratory and critical care medicine. He has published many articles in leading anaesthesia and critical care journals. He is also external referee and member of the editorial board of several international journals.
