James Y. Findlay

Dr. James Y. Findlay, MB, ChB, Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology, Consultant, Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Mayo Clinic (USA).

Dr. Findlay is originally from Scotland. He graduated in Biochemistry and Medicine from Edinburgh University (1986).  After anaesthesia training in Glasgow, Scotland and Perth, Australia he moved to the United States, completing fellowships in Critical Care Medicine and in Transplant Anaesthesiology.  He joined the staff of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN in 1997 where he is currently an Associate Professor and heads the Solid Organ Transplant anaesthesia group.

Dr. Findlay has been Chair of the ASA committee on Transplant Anesthesia and the ILTS Anaesthesia/Critical Care Committee.  His interests include cardiovascular evaluation and outcomes in liver transplantation.
